Counter Fight is certainly one of the most original VR games of the year … and also one of the most frantic.
The premise is that you’ve just opened up a new ramen (bowls of soup with noodles and more) and need to keep all your hungry and thirsty customers happy and coming back for more. You need to complete all the various orders they give you before the timer runs out; the more efficient you are, the greater the points.

Of course its not as simple as that. Yes the game start off at a slow pace but soon things get a bit crazy with random orders, robberies and general mayhem.
Using the HTC Vive’s motion controllers you have to cook and prepare the various ingredients. Whether its dropping the noodles into boiling water, frying up dumplings or refrigerating beer there’s a lot going on. Thankfully you have a strange mini assistant who will provide you with energy drinks based on how well you’ve been serving customers.
Graphics are ‘Japanese meets Minecraft’ in their style and work well with the game-play. The sound is also spot on and helps create the intense atmosphere when things are getting busy.
Yes, Counter Fight sounds odd but is actually lots of fun. If you thought your job was hard you’ve got to experience what a ramen chef will go through!
