Facebook in VR lawsuit

fb vrLets face it Mark Zuckerberg isn’t shy of a few dollars but the latest lawsuit against Facebook for a cool $500M has to hurt.

A jury in Dallas, US has found that Oculus Rift (who FB acquired for $2BN back in 2014) used rivals (ZeniMax) computer code and thus violating a NDA.

Of course Facebook have no intentions of taking that lying down so will be appealing this verdict.

The Oculus Rift has been performing well of late thanks to other rivals helping lift virtual reality into the mainstream. VR though is more than just gaming just as FB is more than just social. FB recently launched Workplace for businesses and some people believe that the Oculus Rift will become an enterprise offering enabling people to engage in virtual businesses.
