Star Trek VR game review – Bridge Crew

star trek vrGame description
We’ve seen a couple of Star Wars VR games so were happy to finally see that Ubisoft have released one for Star Trek … and its certainly been worth the wait. ‘Star Trek – Bridge Crew‘ places you and your friends into the heart of the the US star ship (not Enterprise but Aegis).

You can play the game in single mode where you have to explore the various galaxies, help those in trouble and avoid run ins with the Kilgons. In the co-op version its down to you and three others to take the various roles from Captain through to Engineer and play out your ultimate Trekky fantasy in virtual reality.  Collaboration is key as you work with each other to defeat your enemies.

Although it sounds pretty simple in its set-up its been executed perfectly. Graphics are super impressive, you can really immersive yourself in the bridge and watch the stunning sci-fi backdrops from planets to near misses with asteroids. The audio is also great and thankfully the comms with other players is top notch.

Ok content is a little ‘lite’ with only six missions but if you’ve ever wanted to command a star ship and reenact the roles of the legendary crew then this VR game is a must have.
